Overview

Itaga Lodge is located in the greater Mabalingwe Nature Reserve in the shadows of the Waterberg Mountains, near Bela Bela. This is a Malaria free area of the Limpopo Province and home to the ‘Big 5’ (Lions in a separate enclosure). It takes only 2 hours to reach Itaga from Johannesburg and just over 1 hour from Pretoria, travelling via the N1, one of the country’s finest scenic highways.

Arrival and Departure Times

Check-in: 14h00 to 18h00 Check-out: Standard Rooms: 11h00 Superior Rooms: 13h00 The security boom gate is located between the Mabalingwe main gate and Itaga Lodge is locked at 20h00 each night for security reasons. Please notify us in the event of any late arrivals to arrange special access. The last order for dinner will be taken at 16h00. Guests who wish to arrive earlier or check-out later than times stipulated above will be charged an additional R300 per person for use of the lodge facilities unless booked on a superior room rate. Kindly note that the reserve charges a penalty for guests entering the lodge after 20h00 unless special arrangements have been made. Penalty fees are as follows:
20h00 to 22h00 @ R200
22h00 to 00h00 @ R300
00h00 and later @ R450

Breakfast: Served between 09h00 and 11h00 with last seating at 10h30
Lunch: Is available at an additional cost, between 12h00 and 14h00
Afternoon Snacks: served in the main lodge bar/lounge

Dinner: Served between 19h00 and 21h00 with last seating at 20h00

Winter Times: 07h00 or 15h30 Pre-bookings essential. R395 per person (minimum 2 guests)

Spa

Spa treatment menu available in the room folders or at the bar. Treatments need to be booked. Times must be confirmed either with spa therapist or with office.

Cancellation Policy

We ask that you notify the Manager on Duty should you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment to avoid a 50% charge for the services. All no-show appointment will be charged in full.

Beverages

The lodge is fully licensed. Guests are not permitted to bring alcohol or beverages onto the premises. Guests arriving with their own alcohol or beverages will be charged a corkage fee. Corkage Fee: R90 per can/bottle and R90 per tot for any hard liquor. Bottomless tea or filter coffee and one cappuccino per person is included with breakfast. Additional coffee/tea during the day will be charged to the guest’s account
